Visitor Experience Redesign - Israel Museum
The Israel Museum in Jerusalem offers incredible cultural and artistic exhibits, but visitors can find navigating the space overwhelming. I led a project to redesign the museum’s digital platform, focusing on improving the visitor experience by offering seamless navigation and personalized tours.

The Challenge
Simplifying Museum Navigation
During our visit, we encountered several pain points: unclear signage, difficulty finding restrooms and exits, and an outdated virtual guide. The existing app lacked real-time navigation, which resulted in visitor frustration and confusion.

We applied customer experience design, service design, and design thinking methodologies to identify areas for improvement. After thorough research, we created an app that would alleviate visitor stress and guide them effortlessly through the museum.

The Solution
A User-Centered Mobile App
Our solution was a mobile app that integrated real-time navigation, offering visitors clear directions to key locations like exhibits, restrooms, and cafes. Visitors can customize their tours based on their interests and find the quickest routes to any destination, including an easy exit when their visit is complete.
The Impact
An Elevated Visitor Experience
The app intended not only enhances the overall museum experience but also reduces visitor fatigue and confusion. Feedback from initial tests showed a significant improvement in visitor satisfaction, with users praising the intuitive navigation and personalized routes.
